IRFA Commends President Obama for Highlighting the Importance of Ethanol and Biodiesel in Iowa Radio Ads
President Obama Emphasizes Positive Economic Impact of Ethanol and Biodiesel
JOHNSTON, IOWA – The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) applauded President Barack Obama for reaffirming his support of ethanol and biodiesel in a radio ad airing across Iowa. The Obama Administration has shown continued support for biodiesel, E15, blender pumps and the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS).
“When an industry is under attack, it’s admirable to see elected officials stand up for the ethanol and biodiesel producers that create American jobs, enhance America’s energy security, and improve our environment,” stated IRFA President Brad Albin. “We commend President Barack Obama and his team for their continued public support for growing our renewable fuels industry, especially as it faces harsh criticisms. The 10,000 Iowa households employed by or invested in Iowa’s ethanol and biodiesel plants will take notice.”

The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association was formed in 2002 to represent the state’s liquid renewable fuels industry. The trade group fosters the development and growth of the renewable fuels industry in Iowa through education, promotion, legislation and infrastructure development.
