E85 A Bargain for Consumers As Gas Prices Continue to Rise

E85 in Polk County is 40 - 50 Cents Below Regular Unleaded

JOHNSTON, IA – The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) today urged drivers of flexible fuel vehicles (FFVs) to take advantage of the low price of E85 as regular gasoline prices continue to rise. At the four Polk County stations offering E85, consumers can save 40 to 50 cents per gallon.

“As gasoline prices continue to rise, E85 is a great bargain for Iowa consumers,” stated IRFA’s Executive Director Monte Shaw. “In addition to saving money, consumers can feel good about buying a premium fuel made in Iowa that boosts our economy and protects our environment.”
