E85 Now Offered at Kum & Go in Sloan, IA

86 E85 Refueling Sites Available Across the State

JOHNSTON, Iowa — The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) congratulates Kum & Go for offering another E85 location to Iowa drivers. Kum & Go now has 16 E85 fueling stations in Iowa. The E85 fueling site in Sloan is the 86th in the state. Flexible fuel vehicle drivers can find the new location at:

“Kum and Go is the leader in bringing clean-burning, less expensive E85 to Iowa consumers,” said IRFA Executive Director Monte Shaw. “Iowans are looking for better alternatives like E85, and more retailers should follow Kum & Go’s lead.”

E85 is a blend of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline. It can be used in flexible fuel vehicles (FFVs) designed to burn the alternative fuel. The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association was formed in 2002 to represent the state’s ethanol and biodiesel producers. The trade group fosters the development and growth of the renewable fuels industry in Iowa through education, promotion, legislation and infrastructure development.
