EPA’s Margo Oge to Address the RFS2 Rule
at the 4th Annual Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit
JOHNSTON, IA – Margo Oge, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Director of Transportation and Air Quality, will be addressing Life After RFS at the 4th Annual Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit on January 25 at the Polk County Convention Complex.
The EPA is expected to issue the final rules on the Renewable Fuels Standard 2 (RFS2) later this month. These rules will set the schedule for increased ethanol and biodiesel use in our nation’s transportation fuels based on their sustainability and environmentally-friendly impact.
“With the final decision on the RFS2 rule eminent, Margo Oge’s remarks will be very timely,” said IRFA Executive Director Monte Shaw. “Quite frankly, the future of Iowa’s renewable fuels industry will be guided by these EPA decisions. Hearing directly from Oge will help producers prepare for life after the RFS rule is implemented.”
The Summit and trade show, being held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., are free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required. Participants can register online at
