Maple River Energy Begins Production at Their Plant Near Galva
JOHNSTON, IA – The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) congratulates Maple River Energy, LLC for beginning production at its ethanol plant located near Galva. The new plant will produce 5 million gallons of biodiesel annually.
Maple River Energy also manufactures premium SYNERGY meal for livestock rations. Their state-of-the-art facility has multiple feedstock capabilities, allowing them to produce high quality biodiesel 365 days a year.
Renewable Energy Group out of Ames will market Maple River Energy’s fuel through its international distribution channels in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota. Customers can pick up the biodiesel directly from their truck loading facility or, if they lack the manpower, contract haulers are available to deliver the biodiesel.
Iowa is the leader in renewable fuels production. Iowa has 40 ethanol refineries capable of producing nearly 3.3 billion gallons annually. Three ethanol refineries under construction will add nearly 500 million gallons of capacity.
The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association was formed in 2002 to represent the state’s ethanol and biodiesel producers. The trade group fosters the development and growth of the renewable fuels industry in Iowa through education, promotion, legislation and infrastructure development.
