JOHNSTON, IA – The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association congratulates Cobb Oil for opening their new renewable fuels station, the Sigourney BP. The grand opening will take place on Friday, September 18th from 10 am-5 pm.
The station is located at 805 E Jackson Street in Sigourney, IA. The grand opening will feature a grill out, Hunt Brothers pizza, a Budweiser truckload sale in the parking lot, great special on items inside the station and a chance to win $500 in free gas.
The Sigourney BP, offering E10, E85 and B20, is one of many stations to take advantage of the Renewable Fuels Promotional Assistance Program sponsored by the Iowa Corn Promotion Board, the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association and the Iowa Soybean Association. To take advantage of this program, retailers are encouraged to contact Lucy Norton at 515-252-6249 or lnorton@IowaRFA.org at least 40 days before the planned grand opening to arrange promotional assistance.
Retailers interested in installing an E85 or biodiesel dispenser can apply for a grant from the Iowa Department of Economic Development. Information and a grant application may be found at: www.iowalifechanging.com/business/renewablefuels.html.
